Thank God For Friday And Other Stuff

Another winter storm engulfed New York this week, dumping a pile of snow and forcing temperatures to dip into the single digits.

By mid-week I found myself checking the weather and surf conditions in Hawaii and, then later Googling the warmest countries around the world.  It was all places where women are oppressed: Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Oman, Sudan, and Algeria.

So, today, I thank God for the snow boots that got me through this hellish week — you never know when you’ll need those clunkers tucked in the back of your closet — and for being free to live and do as I please.  Cold as it is, I at least have my freedom.
