New York Times Bestselling Author Launches A Kickstarter Campaign to Self-Publish Her First Cookbook

Jane Green, the bestselling author of Tempting Fate, Jemima J, has launched a Kickstarter campaign to self-publish her first cookbook, Good Taste.

Drawing on stories from her life and the food that runs through them––from caring and cooking for a friend with breast cancer, to supporting her blended family with six kids and several animals, and her family’s recent move into an antique cottage on the water––the book is a combination of recipes, gorgeous photos and her signature warm and witty storytelling.

The Good Taste Kickstarter campaign ends July 14 has a range of pledge levels starting at $10 to allow Jane Green fans around the world have the opportunity to play a direct role in supporting her efforts. Rewards for backers include digital and hardcover editions of Good Taste ($25 to $55), a Jane book club Skype chat ($100), an outing for tea and flowers in New York City ($750), and lunch with Jane, Jen Lancaster, and Lisa Lampanelli at the Soho House ($1000). As a bonus, many campaign backers will also receive a copy of her just released novel Summer Secrets.

Good Taste is a Kickstarter-exclusive limited collector’s edition cookbook with a linen hardcover, special paper, and dozens of recipes collected, created, and cooked by Jane for her friends and family through the years. The deluxe Kickstarter version of Good Taste will not be available after the end of the campaign.

Proceeds from the Kickstarter will go towards the balance of costs to publish the cookbook and the costs of the campaign. Any funds raised beyond the initial goal will go towards expanding the book’s print run.
