Husbands and Dogs: Hurricane Sandy Necessities

With Hurricane Sandy wiping out my heat and electric, I can see the advantage of being married.  I would have a human heating pad to keep me warm at night.

I’d get a dog, but it’s doubtful a mutt would agree to hold the flashlight when I got up for my 3:00 a.m. bathroom run.

  1. You need a battery powered lantern. We have one of those and they work better than flashlights when it comes to going to the bathroom. And you don’t have to have anyone to hold it for you. 🙂

  3. I totally understand that comment 🙂 Nothing like a warm hubby or furkid to keep you warm when you are chilly! We were so lucky through Sandy – we hunkered down indeed, but never lost power – whew!
